Background

Long before founding Wink Brow Bar and developing the Embrowerment® philosophy, Umbreen had already dedicated much of her life to empowerment, education, and humanitarian causes.

Her humanitarian involvement began in the early 2000s through work supporting LRBT (Layton Rahmatulla Benevolent Trust), one of Pakistan’s largest charitable organizations dedicated to providing free eye care and blindness prevention services to underserved communities. LRBT has become one of the world’s largest free eye-care networks, restoring sight and dignity to millions of individuals across Pakistan through hospitals, clinics, outreach programs, and medical education initiatives.

After stepping off LRBT, Umbreen was actively involved with (Developments in Literacy DIL) for more than a decade, a nonprofit organization committed to providing transformative education to underserved children in Pakistan - particularly young girls. Through her involvement and advocacy, she has supported initiatives focused on expanding educational access, opportunity, and long-term economic empowerment for communities facing systemic barriers. 

Umbreen currently serves as an advisor to The Asia Foundation’s Lotus Circle, a philanthropic leadership network that advances the rights, opportunities, and wellbeing of women and communities across 18 countries throughout Asia. The organization’s initiatives focus on areas including education, entrepreneurship, mental health, gender-based violence prevention, economic opportunity, and community resilience.

These experiences deeply shaped Umbreen’s belief that confidence, education, dignity, and opportunity can fundamentally transform lives. Over the years, her work in beauty became increasingly connected to a broader vision centered around human empowerment, self-worth, entrepreneurship, and creating resilient human-centered opportunities in an increasingly AI-driven world.

That vision ultimately evolved into Embrowerment® - a philosophy rooted not only in beauty and confidence, but in education, mentorship, wellness, economic empowerment, and helping individuals build meaningful, independent futures through human connection, creativity, and care.

Through charitable studio initiatives, the Foundation may provide complimentary brow services, restorative beauty treatments, mentorship, and wellness support for individuals experiencing hardship, transition, or financial barriers.
